Born in Córdoba, Argentina

Assistant Principal Viola of the Buenos Aires Philarmonic Orchestra, Teatro Colón and Camerata Bariloche

Silvina studied with Humberto Carfi and José Bondar.
In 2002, she moved to Europe, where she studied with Alan Kovacs.
She made the Master in Viola Performance with Mº  Bruno Giuranna, in Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana. 
Nobuko Imai and Ettore Causa, were her mentors at the IMMA International Menuhin Music Academy, Blonay, Switzerland.

 

She has studied and performed with highly renowned international artists, such as Gerard Caussé, Jeremy Menuhin, Eric Chumachenko, Alberto Lysy, Christoph Richter, Phillip Graffin, Gabor Tackasz, Micaela Martin, Franz Helmerson, Francois Benda, Massimo Quarta, Robert Cohen, Virginie Robilliard, Avi Avital, Gil Shaham, among others.

She has worked as principal violist at the following orchestras: Sinfonietta de Lausanne, Chamber Orchestra of Cascais and Oeiras, Portugal and Contemporary Music Ensemble Lugano, Switzerland;

And has performed as a Soloist with Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional Argentina,
Orquesta Filarmónica de Buenos Aires, Orquesta Sinfónica de Rosario, y Orquesta Mediterránea de Córdoba.

She also has participated as a guest on “Contemporary Colón Theatre”, with principals of the London Sinfonietta, Modern Ensamble, and NM Berlin.

In 2013 she was appointed Assistant Principal Viola of the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra, where she works actually.
